Where's my patch cord??

I have a a very strong urge lately to start making music again. I don't
know why but I feel like I need to pick up my bass again and make some
metal. I try to scream everyday to kind of work on my scream. I don't want
to destroy my vocal chords so I am working a little bit at a time. I am
finding that tone in my scream where it doesn't hurt. That range that I can
comfortably scream for longer periods of time and I don't feel like a
swallowed shards of glass.
I haven't played my bass in a long time so that's gonna take a little more
practice. I've been playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band but that doesn't
count. I really feel like I have it in me again to start playing.
I need to find all my equipment though. I know where my bass and my amp
are. But, not too sure about my cords and pedal. I'll find them and then
destroy the world through my music.

chipping away

We got most of the flower beds cleaned out yesterday.
We bagged 6 bags of leaves.
I BBQ'd.
Today I will clean out the car and practice some golf with my Swingmaster.
Then nap before work.

I found my Decibel magazine last night. It was behind some other mail on my desk. I didn't think it came yet. So excited!! I love Decibel.

I got a bit done

I got a new bike today. Reg $300, on sale for $100! yeah baby!
I took the girls outside and we got some stuff done. Amelia didn't really pull her weight but I'll let her off due to the fact she is a baby. She sat and played in the playpen the whole time. She was great!
Grace drew in the driveway and helped me bag some leaves.
I got 3 branches trimmed. 2 left, but they were too high for me to do without another adult around.
cleaned up the yard a bit (winter blown garbage)
swept the driveway
cleaned up the dog doodie
oh, cleaned out the back eaves-troughs.
Brought the clothes in from the line and put another load out.

Good times.
I like working outside like that. I can step back and see what I have accomplished. It makes me happy. I was having a rough morning but being outside with the girls and getting stuff done has made me feel much better.

Now I have to do dishes. Boo.

I feel a little better now

The weather was really gettin' me down until last weekend.
Then it was nice out and Chad helped me fix a few things outside.
I get really bogged down with stuff that needs to be done, or at least
stuff I feel needs ot be done. I can't sleep well until I get some done.
So the eavestrough is back up and the tap for the garden hose is fixed.
I fixed the toilet myself before that.
I got the dog's yard all cleaned up from her droppings that were locked in
the snow and ice. (what a treat that was)
Then on Thursday I put up the new clothes line. 60ft of glorious, zero
energy consumption drying capacity!
BUT, although the line is up, my work is not done. I won't be able to stop
thinking about trimming back the lilac branches that are around the
clothesline until I do it. What's stopping me? work and WEATHER!! damn
rain!!

Add that to long list of other stuff I need to do. Like:
Cleaning up all the leaves and stuff I didn't get around to in the fall.
Cleaning up the gardens.
cleaning up/reorganizing the back room, the back-back room and the shed.
Changing the air filters on both vehicles.
Replacing the sway bar link on the van.
Cleaning out and detailing both vehicles.
Build a bat house.
Build display shelves for my beer bottle collection.
Put the canopy back up outside.
Clean out the eavestroughs.
Level out and seed the lawn.
Paint the fence.
Move the baby gate.
Flip the fridge door.
Wash the dog.
Strip and stain the deck.
Strip and paint the porch.
Resurface the driveway.

i am sure there is more but I head is about to explode so I'll stop there.
Well, at least I have a list all written out now. I can check stuff off as
I go.
At least I have a case of beer (2 actually, Thanks Hun!!) to help me along
the way and as incentive for anyone who wants to help??

Grace has been sick

Grace has been sick this week. Poor thing. But,she's a trooper!!
It's actually kind of funny the way she is handling it.
We were in Belleville on Monday when it started. I had her in Winners (looking for Becky and Amelia) and she says to me "Daddy I puked" I asked her where and she replied "In my panties". I had to hold back my laughter.
She's been saying it like that ever since.
The other sad but funny thing that happened was when she fell asleep on the way home and then threw up in her sleep. That's not the funny part. This is. When she woke up, it didn't even phase her that she and the car seat (fun cleaning that up.not.) were covered in puke. First thing she says is "um, Daddy, I think we need to change my pants."
Yeah, I think so.

I am awesome

I won $300 in a hockey pool earlier this week.
So I paid some bills and bought a case of beer.
I hope I can be so lucky as to win the playoff pool too.
